Tammy Hise is the Director of Communication at Trietsch and is known for being a night owl. It is completely normal to get emails from her at 2am, and she really enjoys staying up late. For Lent she decided to sacrifice her late nights to be more connected to God in the mornings. 

Disconnecting to Connect

Kristy Jordan is our IT Coordinator at Trietsch and has taken the bold step of fasting from social media for Lent. After she resisted the initial urges to reach for her phone, she started to find that she was able to better connect with God and other.

Growing & Learning

Laura Sennott is the Hospitality Coordinator at Trietsch and her fast is all about deepening her prayer life. Learning new ways to connect with God helps her feel spiritually connected and inspires personal growth.

Fasting for Friends

This week in worship, Pastor Daniel talked about fasting to connect and identify with others. The way Leann White chooses to fast is such a beautiful example of connection. She fasts for relationships with friends without houses who she serves in Dallas.

Making Music

Kris McKissick is fasting by adding music into her weekly time with God. She's hoping that old hymns that she treasures will connect her to God's spirit in a way that stays with her for the rest of her life.

Guilt-Free Fasting

Jackie Watkins has an interesting spin on fasting that has taken her years to develop because she had to overcome some guilt. It's been a long journey for her to discover the spirituality and growth that she craves without having to do a traditional fast.

Take One Down, Pass It Around

John Hames is our Contemporary Worship Leader at Trietsch and he gave up beer for Lent this year. His view of Lent has shifted as he's matured in his faith from a list of rules and activities to a meaningful time of reflection.

Churchaholic

Dayne Flock is the Directors of Sports Ministry at Trietsch, and she admits that she is a workaholic. Sometimes we justify being a workaholic when we work for a church because we know our work is serving God and serving people. Dayne wants to use her fast to get some rest and feel connected to God.
