Abby Germer (Exec. Director of Refuge for Women of North Texas) tells Alyssa Robinson how sex trafficking hits close to home with the prolific use of pornography. I often hear the comment, "I only hear from the church when they want money." If that's true, I'm so sorry; that shouldn't happen. But it is true that whatever church you are part of, they will eventually ask for your tithes and offerings. Rev. Daniel Humbert and Alyssa Robinson have a blunt conversation about where the money goes that the church receives, why we don't like giving to the church, and where this whole idea of a tithe comes from and why it matters. I hope this episode provides clarity and inspiration to live generously, the way Jesus taught us to live, as we bust myths about giving to the church.
